Meta runs the WhatsApp Business Platform and charges for some messages directly. Since 1 July 2025 it bills per delivered template message, in categories:
- Marketing: Eid offers, wedding-season packages, "we miss you" messages.
- Utility: booking updates and notices sent outside an open chat.
- Authentication: one-time codes, which NextReply does not use for bookings.
When a customer messages first, a 24-hour customer-service window opens and the assistant replies inside it. Those replies are free under Meta's current pricing, as are utility templates sent inside the window; for templates sent outside it, check the current rate for Pakistani numbers on Meta's pricing page. Meta publishes its rates per country, and they change from time to time, so we link to the source rather than reprinting numbers.
For a booking business the pattern is simple: inbound chats are most of the traffic and booking confirmations are sent inside them, campaigns are optional and coming soon on NextReply, and when NextReply's appointment reminders launch (also coming soon) they will be about one utility template per booking.
Two habits keep Meta costs sensible. Send campaigns only to customers who opted in and booked recently, rather than every number you have ever saved. And make every campaign bookable: when a client replies "Saturday chahiye", the assistant can take over in the same chat and book the slot, so each paid message has the best chance of turning into a visit.
