India has dozens of WhatsApp Business platforms. Most were built for marketing: broadcasts, campaign flows, catalogue messages, team inboxes priced per agent. Some now sell AI agents as an add-on. If you run a D2C brand, that is useful. If you run a clinic or salon, you mostly need something simpler: answer the question, find a slot, book it.
That is all NextReply is designed to do, and it shows in how it is priced and set up:
Opt-in campaigns, feedback requests and automatic appointment reminders are coming soon, and they will sit on top of the booking engine rather than replace it. See every capability on the features page.
NextReply is a WhatsApp AI chatbot for businesses in India that run on appointments: clinics, dental practices, salons, coaching classes, gyms and home-service companies. It replies to every patient, client or parent within seconds, in Hindi, Hinglish, English or their own language, understands voice notes, offers real free slots and books them straight into Google Calendar. When someone needs a human, it hands the chat to your staff and alerts you.
India already does business on WhatsApp. Patients send "Doctor sahab kal baithenge?", parents ask about batch timings at 10:30pm, brides-to-be send reference photos for their trial. The problem is not getting messages; it is answering them fast enough while you are with the patient in front of you. NextReply acts as an AI receptionist on WhatsApp, so the front desk is never "offline".
It does one job and does it properly: answer questions about your business and book appointments. It is not a broadcast tool, and it does not need a developer.
Google Calendar works on every plan. Zapier, Make, Google Sheets and HubSpot connect on the Business plan.

WhatsApp is live on every plan. Instagram, Messenger and Telegram are coming soon and will use the same services, hours and answers.
Indian customers rarely type the way a textbook chatbot expects. They mix Hindi and English in Roman script, switch mid-sentence, use "kal" for both yesterday and tomorrow and send a 40-second voice note instead of typing. NextReply is built for that. A typical exchange with a salon in Indiranagar:
Client: Hi, kal shaam ko haircut aur beard trim ka slot milega? 6 ke baad
NextReply: Haan ji! Kal shaam 6:30 ya 7:15 free hai, Rahul ke saath. Kaunsa time book karun?
Client: 7:15 done
NextReply: Booked: haircut + beard trim, kal 7:15 PM, Rahul ke saath. Aapka naam bata dijiye?
Voice notes work the same way. A patient in Lucknow can say "Mujhe Saturday subah Dr. Verma ko dikhana hai, bachche ka bukhar hai" and the assistant books the earliest Saturday morning paediatric slot. It does not discuss the fever; it books the visit and flags the note for the clinic so staff can call back if needed.
Beyond Hindi and English, it replies in the language a customer writes in, so a clinic in Chennai, Kolkata or Pune can serve Tamil, Bengali or Marathi speakers without extra setup.
OPD timings, doctor-wise slots, fee questions and "Is Sunday open?" fill a clinic's WhatsApp all day. The assistant books OPD slots by doctor and passes symptoms, reports and prescriptions to staff. Full detail on the WhatsApp chatbot for clinics page.
Root canal sittings, scaling, braces adjustments and six-monthly check-ups all need follow-up visits. NextReply books each sitting and confirms it in the chat; automatic reminders for follow-up visits are coming soon. See the dental clinics page.
From a quick threading appointment in Lajpat Nagar to a bridal trial in Bandra during wedding season, salons get the most late-night messages. The salon booking page shows how stylist calendars and festive peaks are handled.
Demo classes for JEE or NEET batches, trial sessions at a gym in HSR Layout, AC servicing or deep cleaning in Gurugram: every one starts with a WhatsApp and ends with a booked slot.
Builders and brokers get enquiries like "2BHK ka rate kya hai Wakad mein?" from ads and property portals at all hours. The assistant asks budget, location, configuration and possession timeline, then books a site visit with the right sales executive. Price negotiation and booking amounts stay with your team.
Rules such as slot length, gaps between appointments and which staff do which service are on the appointment booking page. Calendar sync is explained on the Google Calendar page.
This is the first question Indian owners ask, and for good reason. Your number is on your board, your visiting cards, Google Maps and Justdial listings. Older WhatsApp API setups often meant moving the number off the app. Today Meta offers Coexistence: the WhatsApp Business app and the Business Platform run on the same number.
With NextReply you keep the app on your phone, your chat history and your number. Your receptionist can still reply personally whenever she wants; the AI covers the chats she has not picked up, after hours and at rush hour. Read the details on the Coexistence page.
Indian businesses rarely keep simple 9-to-5 hours. Clinics run morning and evening OPD with a gap in the afternoon. Salons stay open on Sundays and close on a weekday. Coaching classes run weekend batches. NextReply follows hours you set for each day, with breaks, so it never books the doctor during lunch.
Then come the peaks. Navratri, Karva Chauth, Diwali and the wedding season from November to February fill salon diaries weeks ahead. Board and entrance exam calendars drive coaching enquiries. Monsoon brings a rush of fever OPD visits. In each case the assistant answers every message at once, however many arrive, and keeps booking until the slots are gone.
No-shows are a quiet drain for Indian clinics and salons. A patient books for Thursday evening, forgets, and the doctor sits idle while someone else was turned away. Much of that starts with a vague booking: "Thursday evening" said over the phone, never written down. NextReply removes the vagueness. Every booking ends with a written confirmation in the same WhatsApp chat, with the doctor or stylist, the date and the exact time, and the slot sits in Google Calendar where your front desk sees it.
If the patient cannot come, they reply in that chat ("Thursday nahi ho payega, Saturday?") and the assistant passes the request to your front desk with the booking details, so Thursday can be freed for someone else. Automatic appointment reminders are coming soon: they are built and waiting for Meta's template approval. When they launch, they will go only to customers who agree to receive them, and Meta will bill them per message.
Many Indian salons, clinics and studios win new clients on Instagram, and coaching institutes often run Telegram channels for students. NextReply works on WhatsApp today, on every plan, and that is where it understands Hinglish voice notes, reads photos and books appointments. Instagram, Messenger and Telegram are coming soon. Once they launch, they will share one calendar and one set of answers with WhatsApp, so a slot booked from one channel cannot be double-booked on another.
For now, add a WhatsApp link to your Instagram bio and pin your WhatsApp number in your Telegram channel description, so enquiries reach the assistant that already books. Email hello@nextreply.io to hear when each channel goes live, or read the channels overview.
Most businesses are live the same day. Test it by messaging your own number in Hinglish and with a voice note before you announce it.

India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, together with the DPDP Rules notified in November 2025, sets out how businesses must handle personal data, with most obligations phasing in over the following months. Consent, purpose limitation and keeping data secure are central to it. NextReply is designed to help you collect less:
This is general information. Clinics should check their own obligations with a legal adviser.
Since 15 January 2026, Meta's WhatsApp Business Solution Terms bar general-purpose AI chatbots. Business assistants that handle bookings and customer support remain allowed. NextReply answers only from your business information, books appointments and hands over to people, so it fits the rules.
