Set up for the UAE working week, Ramadan and Eid

Since 2022 the federal government week has run Monday to Friday, with a half-day on Friday. Most private service businesses follow their own pattern: many salons, clinics and gyms open Saturday and Sunday, close early on Friday or shift hours around Friday prayers. NextReply follows the hours you enter, per day, so it never offers a slot when you are shut.

Ramadan is where flexible hours really count. Many businesses open later, close for iftar and reopen until well after midnight. Some salons and spas take their busiest bookings between 9pm and 1am. You can change your working hours for the month in a few minutes, and the assistant starts quoting the Ramadan timetable straight away. When Eid arrives you can block the public-holiday dates and add a holiday message so customers know when you reopen. A short holiday note in your FAQs covers the questions customers ask most.

  • Different hours for each day of the week
  • Breaks, such as Friday prayers or a mid-afternoon closure
  • Holiday closures and special opening days
  • After-hours behaviour: book for the next open slot, or take details and promise a call back

A WhatsApp AI chatbot for UAE businesses that books, not just replies

NextReply is a WhatsApp AI chatbot built for UAE service businesses: it answers every customer message within seconds, day or night, offers real free slots and books the appointment straight into your Google Calendar. If a question needs a person, it hands the chat to your team and tells you at once.

Most salons, clinics, brokerages and studios in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah already run on WhatsApp. The trouble is not the channel. It is the gap between a message arriving at 11.40pm and someone on your team seeing it at 9.30am. By then the customer has messaged two other places, and one of them answered. We built NextReply to close that gap without adding a night shift.

You tell the assistant what you sell, what it costs, when you open and who does what. It then works from that information only. It does not invent prices, it does not give medical or legal advice, and it does not chat about anything unrelated to your business. Think of it as a trained front-desk colleague who never goes on a break, rather than a general-purpose chatbot.

  • Replies 24/7 in the customer's own language, including Arabic and English
  • Understands voice notes and photos sent on WhatsApp, not just typed text
  • Books and confirms appointments in Google Calendar without double-booking, and passes reschedule or cancel requests to your team
  • Sends you an instant alert for every new booking
  • Passes the chat to a human the moment a request is outside its brief

Plans start at $29 a month and every plan begins with a 7-day free trial. You can see every feature on the full feature list or read the three-step setup guide before you commit.

From "Is there a slot tomorrow?" to a confirmed booking

Here is what happens when a customer in JLT sends your spa a WhatsApp at 10pm asking about a massage tomorrow evening.

  1. The message lands. NextReply reads it, whether it is typed in English, written in Arabic or sent as a 20-second voice note.
  2. It works out the request. Service: 60-minute massage. Day: tomorrow. Time window: after 6pm.
  3. It checks your calendar. It looks at the therapists and hours you set, and only offers times that are genuinely free.
  4. It collects the details. Name, service, date and time, plus anything you ask it to confirm, such as a female therapist preference.
  5. It books and confirms. The event appears in Google Calendar, the customer gets a written confirmation in the same chat and you get a notification.

The whole exchange usually takes less time than it takes a receptionist to find a pen. Because the booking sits in your calendar, your team sees it the same way they see bookings taken by phone or walk-in. You can read more about the logic behind slot offers on the appointment booking page and about calendar rules on the Google Calendar integration page.

From first message to confirmed booking
  1. Customer message: “Any slot tomorrow afternoon?”
  2. AI receptionist: Reads service, date and time
  3. Checks your calendar: Offers only free slots
  4. Confirms in the chat: Name, service and time
  5. Booked: In Google Calendar, owner alerted

An AI receptionist for Dubai's many languages

A typical Dubai salon might hear from an Emirati client in Arabic, a Filipino client in Tagalog, an Indian client mixing Hindi and English and a Russian tourist, all before lunch. A human receptionist cannot cover every language. NextReply replies in the language the customer writes or speaks in, automatically.

That matters more in the UAE than almost anywhere else. Expats make up the large majority of residents, so the person who owns the business, the person who answers the phone and the person who wants a booking often have different first languages. An AI receptionist in Dubai has to cope with that mix as a matter of routine.

Arabic, written and spoken

Gulf customers often type in Arabic script, in Arabizi (Arabic in Latin letters with numbers, such as "7abibi"), or send a quick voice note. The assistant handles all three and answers in clear Arabic. You can also set your preferred reply language per business if your clientele is mostly English-speaking.

Voice notes and photos on WhatsApp

Plenty of UAE customers would rather speak than type, especially while driving or between meetings. NextReply understands voice notes and replies in text, so the booking details are written down for both sides. Photos work too: a client can send a picture of a nail design or a car's dashboard warning light, and the assistant uses it to pick the right service.

Replies in each customer’s language
  1. مرحبا، عندكم موعد؟ / Olá, tem horário? / Hola, ¿hay cita? / Hi, any slots?
  2. Detects the language: From a WhatsApp text or voice note
  3. Replies in that language: You set it up once

Keep your WhatsApp Business app and your number

The question we hear most from UAE owners is "Will I lose my WhatsApp?" No. NextReply supports WhatsApp Coexistence, Meta's official way to connect the WhatsApp Business app and the WhatsApp Business Platform to the same number. You keep the app on your phone, your chat history and the number printed on your shopfront and Instagram bio.

In practice your team can keep replying from the app whenever they want to. The AI handles the conversations you have not picked up, outside hours or when the front desk is busy, and steps back as soon as a person takes over. Read how it works on the Coexistence page.

Some details are set by Meta rather than by us, such as which countries and number types can use Coexistence and what syncs between the app and the platform. We walk you through the checks during setup, and we will tell you before you connect if your number needs a different route.

  2. Same number: Nothing to delete

Who uses an AI WhatsApp agent in the UAE

NextReply suits any business where a WhatsApp message usually ends in an appointment. A few UAE patterns we design for:

Salons and spas

Beauty businesses along Al Wasl Road, in the Jumeirah villas and around Dubai Marina and JBR get a spike of enquiries late in the evening, when clients are scrolling at home. The assistant answers "How much for gel extensions?" and "Can I come at 4 on Saturday?" and books the right stylist or therapist.

Clinics and dental practices

Clinics in Dubai Healthcare City, Al Garhoud or on Al Reem Island handle a stream of practical questions: opening times, which doctor speaks Arabic or Russian, whether a consultation needs a referral. NextReply books consultations and routes anything clinical to your staff. See the medical clinics page for the handoff rules; dental practices follow the same pattern.

Real estate

Brokerages in Business Bay, Downtown and on Palm Jumeirah get portal and ad leads around the clock. Our Dubai real estate page shows how the assistant asks budget, area and move-in date, then books viewings for your agents.

Gyms, tutors, garages and home services

Trial classes in Dubai Sports City, tutoring sessions in Al Barsha, car servicing in Al Quoz or a deep clean in Al Nahda, Sharjah: the job is the same. Answer the questions, find a slot, book it. Browse all industries for tailored examples.

WhatsApp today, with Instagram, Messenger and Telegram coming soon

WhatsApp is where most UAE bookings close, so it is the heart of NextReply and it is live on every plan. Everything on this page, from Arabic voice notes to calendar bookings, runs on WhatsApp today.

We know many first enquiries start elsewhere: a client sees a reel and sends a DM, someone clicks a Facebook ad, or a Russian-speaking customer prefers Telegram. Instagram, Messenger and Telegram are coming soon. When they launch, they will connect to the same assistant, with the same services, prices, hours and calendar, so a slot booked from one channel cannot be double-booked from another.

  • Instagram DMs (coming soon): planned to answer price and availability questions from followers. Until then, a "Message us on WhatsApp" link in your bio sends those followers to the chat that already books.
  • Facebook Messenger (coming soon): planned for Page messages and click-to-Messenger ad leads. Click-to-WhatsApp ads work with NextReply now.
  • Telegram (coming soon): planned for customers who prefer to start a chat with your bot.

Customer data and UAE privacy law

The UAE's federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) sets out how businesses may collect and use personal data. Financial free zones run their own regimes, such as DIFC's Data Protection Law and ADGM's data protection regulations, and health data carries additional rules from the health authorities. We are not your lawyer, but we design NextReply so you can follow good practice:

  • The assistant collects only what a booking needs: name, phone number, service, date and time, plus any fields you add
  • It does not diagnose, prescribe or ask for medical history; clinical questions go to your staff
  • You decide which team members can read past conversations
  • Customers who message you have chosen to contact you; marketing messages go only to people who opt in

If you run a clinic, check with your compliance lead what may be discussed over WhatsApp before you go live. The UAE Government portal summarises the data protection laws that apply in the UAE.

Built for Meta's 2026 WhatsApp rules

Since 15 January 2026, Meta's WhatsApp Business Solution Terms bar general-purpose AI chatbots from the platform. Assistants that do a defined job for a business, such as booking appointments and answering customer-service questions, remain allowed. NextReply is exactly that kind of assistant. It answers from your services, prices, hours and FAQs, it books, and it hands over to a person when the request goes beyond that scope.

We avoid features that would push it into "ask me anything" territory. That keeps your number in good standing and keeps the experience focused for customers who simply want a slot.

Questions people ask

Is NextReply allowed on WhatsApp under Meta's 2026 rules?

Yes. Meta's terms bar general-purpose AI chatbots, not business assistants. NextReply only answers questions about your business, books appointments and hands chats to your team when needed, which is the kind of customer-service use the terms allow.

Can it reply in Arabic and English at the same time?

It replies in whatever language each customer uses. One customer can get Arabic, the next English, the next Hindi or Tagalog, all from the same setup. You add your services and FAQs once.

Do I need a new phone number?

Usually not. With WhatsApp Coexistence you connect your existing WhatsApp Business app number and keep using the app. If your number cannot use Coexistence, we explain the alternatives before you connect anything.

What happens when a customer asks something the AI cannot answer?

It tells the customer a team member will reply, flags the chat and notifies you. You can set topics that always go to a person, such as complaints, refunds or anything medical.

Does it work during Ramadan hours?

Yes. You can change opening hours for the month, add an iftar break and extend late-night hours. The assistant will only offer slots inside the new timetable.

Can customers book from Instagram as well?

Not yet. Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger and Telegram are coming soon, and they will share the same assistant and calendar once they launch. Today NextReply runs on WhatsApp, so the simplest step is a WhatsApp link in your Instagram bio and Facebook Page. Email hello@nextreply.io if you want to be told when Instagram goes live.

Where are my customers' messages stored?

Conversation history is stored in your NextReply account so your team can review it (on Pro and Business). Only people you invite can see it, and the assistant only collects what a booking needs.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every plan, Starter, Pro and Business, comes with a 7-day free trial. You connect your WhatsApp number, add your services and hours, and let the assistant handle real conversations for a week before your first payment.

Every WhatsApp message answered, every free slot offered

Start your 7-day free trial, connect your WhatsApp number and add your services and hours. NextReply answers and books around the clock.
