Compare: AiSensy
NextReply vs AiSensy for clinics, salons and studios
AiSensy is built for broadcasts and campaigns. NextReply is an AI receptionist that books into Google Calendar, reads voice notes and replies in Hindi, English and more.
An AiSensy alternative for clinics, salons and studios that run on appointments
AiSensy is one of the most popular WhatsApp platforms in India. It made the WhatsApp Business API affordable for small brands, and it is very good at what it was designed for: broadcasts, campaigns, click-to-WhatsApp ads, retargeting and chatbot flows for marketing teams. In recent years it has added AI agents, including an appointment-booking agent template.
So why would anyone look for an AiSensy alternative? Usually because their WhatsApp is not a marketing channel. It is a front desk. A physiotherapy clinic in Pune, a salon in Bandra, a coaching centre in Kota or a dental practice in Dubai gets most of its messages from people asking for a time, a price or directions. For them the question is simple: which tool turns those messages into confirmed appointments with the least effort?
This page compares NextReply vs AiSensy for that job. We make NextReply. We have kept to what each company publishes, dated October 2026, and we say where AiSensy is the better fit.
Broadcast suite vs booking-native receptionist
The two products start from opposite ends.
AiSensy starts with campaigns. You import contacts, create templates, send broadcasts, track clicks and build flows. AI agents can be added to answer and qualify. Booking is one possible flow among many.
NextReply starts with the appointment. The AI receptionist answers every message 24/7 from your services, hours and FAQs, checks Google Calendar for free slots, collects name, service, date and time, and confirms the booking in the chat. Opt-in campaigns such as reactivation, feedback and event messages exist, and appointment reminders are coming soon, but they serve the bookings rather than the other way round.
Neither approach is better in general. They suit different businesses.
- Customer message: “Any slot tomorrow afternoon?”
- AI receptionist: Reads service, date and time
- Checks your calendar: Offers only free slots
- Confirms in the chat: Name, service and time
- Booked: In Google Calendar, owner alerted

AiSensy pricing vs NextReply: what Indian businesses actually pay
AiSensy publishes monthly plans in INR, with AI agent capacity and WhatsApp message charges on top. Plans and add-ons change often, so check AiSensy's current pricing page before you compare.
NextReply uses one fixed US dollar price list for every country:
| Plan | Price | Bookings per month | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $29/month | Up to 500 | AI receptionist on WhatsApp, voice notes and photos, multilingual replies, Google Calendar booking, handoff |
| Pro | $59/month | Up to 1,500 | Full conversation history, editable services and FAQs, priority support |
| Business | $99/month | Unlimited | Webhooks, Zapier, Make, HubSpot and Sheets, dedicated onboarding |
Prices are in US dollars. At checkout, your card or bank may show an estimate in your local currency. Local taxes may apply. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, so you can test bookings on your own number before paying.
The fairer comparison is the total for your use. If you mainly need broadcasts, an AiSensy plan may be cheaper. If you mainly need an AI that books, add up AiSensy's plan, its AI agent cost and the time to build the booking flow, then compare with NextReply Starter, where the AI and calendar booking are already included. Full plan details are on our pricing page.
Meta fees in India: what changes and what does not
Whichever tool you choose, Meta charges for template messages, and India's per-message rates are among the lower ones globally. Since July 2025 Meta bills per delivered template, by category: marketing, utility and authentication. Customer-started conversations run inside WhatsApp's customer-service window, and Meta does not charge for replies inside that window.
For a booking business, this means your Meta bill mostly depends on the template messages you send, such as reminders and campaigns once they launch, not on the AI's replies to people who messaged you. Check current rates on Meta's pricing page.
Voice notes, Hinglish and mixed-language chats
In India and the Gulf, a large share of customers send voice notes, often in a mix of Hindi, English and a regional language. Typed messages switch between scripts mid-sentence. A booking assistant that only reads clean English text misses many of these.
On WhatsApp, NextReply understands voice notes and photos and replies in the customer's own language. "Kal shaam 6 baje slot hai kya, haircut ke liye?" gets an answer with real free times. A photo of a prescription, a skin concern or a hairstyle can be part of the booking chat, with clinical questions always passed to your staff rather than answered by the AI.

What setting up each one involves for a small clinic
Take a two-room physiotherapy clinic that wants WhatsApp enquiries turned into appointments.
On a campaign platform, the clinic connects its number, then designs a booking journey: a welcome message, buttons for each treatment, a question for the preferred day, then either a link to a booking page or a handover to the receptionist. Someone has to keep the buttons, prices and timings up to date, and update the flow whenever the clinic adds a therapist or changes its hours. An AI agent can be added to handle free-text questions.
On NextReply, the clinic adds its treatments with durations and prices, each therapist with their Google Calendar, its hours and its ten most common questions (parking, fees, what to wear, whether a referral is needed). The AI uses that information to hold the conversation. When a new therapist joins, the clinic adds them and their calendar. Nothing else changes.
The second approach is less flexible for marketing. It is also much less work for a business whose only goal on WhatsApp is a full diary.
A note on patient data
Indian clinics also need to think about the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Keep the AI's job to booking and general questions, keep clinical details out of chat where possible, and pass medical questions to qualified staff. NextReply is designed to work that way: it never gives medical advice and hands clinical questions to your team.
When AiSensy is the better choice
- You run regular broadcast campaigns to large opted-in lists and need campaign analytics.
- Click-to-WhatsApp ads and retargeting are central to your growth.
- You sell products through an online store and want order and cart messages.
- You have a marketing team that enjoys building flows.
Choose NextReply if your business lives on appointments and you want an AI receptionist that books without anyone building a flow. Our industry pages cover clinics, salons, gyms, tutoring centres, home services and more.
Switching from AiSensy to NextReply
- Collect your FAQs, price list and any message templates you rely on.
- Disconnect your WhatsApp number from AiSensy. A number connects to one API provider at a time.
- Connect it to NextReply. With Coexistence you can keep the WhatsApp Business app on the same number.
- Add services, durations, hours and staff, connect Google Calendar, and test with a voice note.
The steps are on how it works. See every capability on the features page, how booking works on the appointment booking page, and other tools on our comparison hub.
Instagram, Messenger and Telegram: coming soon
Indian salons and clinics often get as many DMs on Instagram as messages on WhatsApp. NextReply works on WhatsApp today. Instagram, Messenger and Telegram are coming soon, and are planned to use the same services, FAQs and calendar. Until then, a WhatsApp button on your Instagram profile and click-to-WhatsApp ads bring those customers to a chat the AI can book. See the channels overview.
