Customer photographing a leaking sink pipe to send on WhatsApp

Home services

Send us a photo of the problem. We'll book the visit.

Customers send a photo or voice note; NextReply captures the address and books the right technician.

WhatsApp booking for home services starts with a photo

WhatsApp booking for home services works best when the customer can show you the problem. "My AC is making a noise" tells a technician very little. A photo of the unit's model plate and a 15-second voice note of the rattle tells them a lot. "There's a leak" could be a dripping tap or a burst pipe; a picture of the water under the sink settles it.

NextReply is built for that. Customers message your business on WhatsApp, send a photo or voice note, and the assistant understands it, asks the few questions you need, captures the address and books a technician slot from your team's Google Calendar. Your crew arrives with the right parts. Your office stops playing phone tag. It suits cleaning companies, plumbers, electricians, AC and appliance technicians, pest control, handymen, painters and movers.

Quote request by photo on WhatsApp

Photos are the fastest way to understand a job before anyone gets in a van. The assistant reads what a customer sends and uses it to choose the right service and follow-up questions:

Customer sendsAssistant asks or does
Photo of water under a sinkAsks if water is still running, books a plumbing visit
Photo of an AC unit's labelNotes the brand and type, books a service or repair slot
Photo of a messy flatAsks bedrooms and bathrooms, books a deep clean of the right length
Photo of a tripped fuse boardHands to an electrician if it sounds unsafe, otherwise books a visit
Photo of a wall with dampBooks an inspection rather than quoting

The assistant gathers context; it does not give a final price from a photo. Write your price guidance into the knowledge base, for example "AC service from 150 per unit, repairs quoted on site", and it will say exactly that. Final quotes stay with your technicians.

Address, slot and technician in one conversation

Every home-service booking needs a few extra details compared with a salon. The assistant collects them in order:

  1. What the problem or job is, from text, photo or voice note.
  2. The address, including building, flat number and area, plus access notes such as gate codes or parking.
  3. Preferred day and time window.
  4. A free slot from a technician who does that job and covers that area.
  5. The customer's name, then confirmation with the date, time window and what to expect.

The technician gets an instant notification with the photos attached. Read the full booking flow.

From first message to confirmed booking
  1. Customer message: “Any slot tomorrow afternoon?”
  2. AI receptionist: Reads service, date and time
  3. Checks your calendar: Offers only free slots
  4. Confirms in the chat: Name, service and time
  5. Booked: In Google Calendar, owner alerted

Technician calendars and service areas

Give each technician or crew their own Google Calendar. Add which jobs they do and which areas they cover. A plumber who only works the north of the city will not be booked across town; a cleaner who does not do carpets will not get a carpet job. Job durations matter more here than anywhere: include travel time so the next booking is realistic.

Many teams prefer time windows to exact times, for example "Tuesday 9 to 12". Set up your services that way and the assistant will offer windows instead of precise slots, which customers understand from deliveries.

A plumber booking at 7:15am

Customer: [photo of water pooling under a kitchen sink] Hi, this started last night, can someone come today?

Assistant: Sorry to see that. Is water still leaking now, or only when the tap is on?

Customer: only when the tap is on

Assistant: Thanks, that helps. Please avoid using that tap for now. Our plumber Ahmed can come today between 12:00 and 15:00. Callout is 120, and any parts are quoted on site. What's the address?

Customer: Flat 1204, Tower B, Dubai Marina

Assistant: Booked: Ahmed, today 12:00 to 15:00, Flat 1204, Tower B. He'll message before he arrives. Can I take your name?

The advice to avoid the tap came from the business's own FAQ, not from the assistant guessing.

Cleaning company WhatsApp bookings

Cleaning businesses take a high volume of similar bookings with a few variables: property size, type of clean, frequency and add-ons. The assistant asks bedrooms and bathrooms, regular or deep clean, any extras such as oven or windows, then books the right length of visit with an available team. Regular customers can rebook "same as last time" in two messages. Clear access notes in each booking cut wasted trips today, and day-before reminders are coming soon; see the no-show guide.

  2. Reminder (coming soon): Waiting for Meta approval
  3. Customer confirms / Asks to reschedule
  4. Calendar stays current: Freed slots reopen

Emergencies and safety go to a person

Gas smells, sparking sockets, flooding and anything that sounds dangerous must reach a person immediately. Set handoff triggers for those words. The assistant shares your safety message, for example to turn off the water at the main valve or to leave the property and call the emergency number for a gas smell, and alerts your on-call technician. You decide the wording with your team, and the assistant uses it every time.

When the AI hands a chat to your team
  1. Unusual request: Complaint, refund or special case
  2. AI receptionist: Knows when to step back
  3. Answers from your FAQs: Services, hours and prices / Hands the chat over: Your team is notified
  4. Your team replies: Same chat, full history

Repeat customers and maintenance plans

Home-service businesses grow on repeat work: quarterly AC servicing, monthly deep cleans, annual boiler checks, pest-control follow-ups. When a regular customer messages, the assistant can book the same service at the same address in a couple of messages. Service-due reminders, such as "Your AC service is due before summer. Reply to book.", are coming soon. They are built and waiting on Meta's template approval, and will go only to customers who opted in.

Property managers and landlords who look after several flats benefit too. They can book visits for different addresses in one chat, and each booking carries its own address and access notes so your technicians never turn up at the wrong door.

Mornings, evenings and weekends

Home problems do not keep office hours. Leaks appear at 6am, AC units fail on Friday night, and customers book cleaners on Sunday evening for the week ahead. With after-hours replies, every message gets an answer and a booked slot, so your first job tomorrow is already in the calendar. In hot cities this matters even more: AC service businesses covering Dubai's Al Barsha, JLT and Deira, or Karachi's DHA and Clifton, see inquiries spike with every heatwave.

Voice notes from customers on the move

Customers often describe problems out loud: "It's the washing machine, it won't drain and there's a burning smell." The assistant understands voice notes and turns them into a clear job description for your technician. That also helps customers who are more comfortable speaking than typing, or who speak a different language from your office team. The assistant replies in their language.

Your technician can play the original voice note in the chat, so nothing gets lost in the retelling.

Home services Facebook Messenger chatbot: coming soon

Many home-service businesses advertise on Facebook, and those leads often arrive in Messenger. NextReply's Messenger AI chatbot is coming soon; it is not live yet. Photos and voice notes currently work on WhatsApp only, which suits home services well: the customer sends the picture of the leak and the assistant books the visit.

To capture Facebook leads now, switch your Page button to "Send WhatsApp message" and run click-to-WhatsApp ads instead of Messenger ads. Your team can still send "technician on the way" updates from the WhatsApp Business app on the same number. Each platform's status is on the channels page.

Plans for home-service teams

A sole trader or small crew usually fits Starter. Companies with several technicians and changing price lists prefer Pro for editable services and full conversation history. Firms that dispatch from a job management tool, a CRM or a shared sheet use Business webhooks with Zapier or Make so every booking lands there too. Plans are $29, $59 or $99 a month in US dollars, the same in every country, and each starts with a 7-day free trial. Local taxes may apply. See pricing, the full feature list, other industries or the home page.
