Here is the honest picture of chat apps in the Philippines. Most local customers message businesses on Facebook Messenger, and Viber comes second. Infobip's 2026 country data puts Messenger at about 95% of phone users, Viber at about 71% and WhatsApp at about 40%. If your clients are all local and on Messenger, a WhatsApp-only tool is the wrong place to start.
But a large group of Philippine businesses lives on WhatsApp anyway: the ones whose clients are abroad. Resorts in El Nido and Siargao answering guests from Europe and Korea. Dental clinics in Makati and BGC treating balikbayans and medical tourists from the US and Australia. Developers' agents selling condos to OFWs in Dubai, Riyadh and Toronto. Those clients message on WhatsApp, in their own time zone, often while you sleep.
NextReply is a WhatsApp chatbot for the Philippines built for that situation. It answers every message in the client's language, books appointments and calls into Google Calendar, and hands the conversation to your team when a person is needed. Facebook Messenger, where most of your local clients are, is coming soon, and it will run on the same AI front desk.
Google Calendar works on every plan. Zapier, Make, Google Sheets and HubSpot connect on the Business plan.

WhatsApp is live on every plan. Instagram, Messenger and Telegram are coming soon and will use the same services, hours and answers.
When it is 9am in Manila, it is 2am in London and 6pm the previous evening in Los Angeles. Overseas clients ask their questions when it suits them, which is usually when your staff are asleep or off duty. A guest in Germany comparing three resorts in Boracay sends the same message to all three. The one that replies first with rates, availability and a clear next step usually wins.
A WhatsApp AI receptionist in the Philippines closes that gap. NextReply replies within seconds at any hour, answers questions about rates, services, locations and transfers from the information you provide, and books what can be booked: a dental consultation, a dive trip, a video call with a property agent. Anything that needs a person, such as a custom quote or a complaint, goes to your team with a summary, ready for the morning.
Many Philippine businesses need both. A dental clinic in Quezon City gets local patients through its Facebook Page and balikbayan patients through WhatsApp. A resort gets Manila weekenders on Messenger and foreign guests on WhatsApp.
Today NextReply covers the WhatsApp side fully, on every plan. Facebook Messenger support is coming soon. When it launches, it will use the same services, FAQs and Google Calendar, so local clients can message your Page the way they always have while overseas clients keep using WhatsApp: one knowledge base, one calendar, one handoff to your team. Messenger replies will follow Meta's rule that businesses reply within 24 hours of the client's last message. The Messenger chatbot page for the Philippines explains what is planned and how to get ready.
Instagram DMs and Telegram are coming soon too. See the channels overview. Until they launch, a WhatsApp button on your Facebook Page and a WhatsApp link in your Instagram bio let clients who prefer instant answers reach the assistant now. Email hello@nextreply.io to hear when Messenger goes live.
Viber is not supported. If most of your clients message you on Viber, NextReply will not cover them today, and we would rather tell you that now than after you sign up.
Filipino clients type the way they talk: "Hi po, available pa po ba sa Sat?", "Magkano po?", "Pa-book po ng 2pm." Foreign clients write in English, Korean, Japanese, German or Arabic. NextReply understands all of it and replies in the language the client used, so a Korean diver gets Korean and a Tita in Cebu gets polite Taglish with "po".
Client: "Hi po! Magkano po yung cleaning tapos available pa po ba this Saturday?"
NextReply: "Hi po! Ang cleaning po ay ₱1,500. May slot pa po this Saturday ng 10:00am at 2:30pm with Dr. Reyes. Alin po ang mas okay sa inyo?"
Client: "2:30 po. Maria Santos."
NextReply: "Noted po, Maria! Naka-book na po kayo sa Saturday, 2:30pm with Dr. Reyes. See you po!"
On WhatsApp, clients can also send voice notes and photos. A diver can send a photo of their certification card; a dental patient can send an old X-ray. The AI uses the photo to route the request and passes clinical images to your team without commenting on them.
More on the flow is on how it works and the appointment booking feature.
Picture a dental clinic near Bonifacio High Street. At 11:20pm Manila time, a patient in California asks whether she can get two implants assessed during a two-week visit home in December. The AI explains your implant consultation process from your FAQ, books a consultation for her first Monday back and tells her that the dentist will confirm the treatment plan after the exam. At 1:05am a Filipino nurse in London asks in Taglish about cleaning prices for his parents in Taguig; the AI quotes the price and books both parents on the same Saturday. At 3:40am an Australian patient asks about veneer costs; the AI shares your starting price and offers a video consultation, then flags the chat because he wants a written quote. At 8:00am your front desk opens to three bookings in the calendar and one chat to answer.
We would rather you choose the right tool than churn after a month. NextReply is probably not for you if:
If your business takes appointments, reservations or calls with clients, and those clients reach you on WhatsApp, it is a strong fit today. If they are mostly on Messenger, start on WhatsApp now and add Messenger when it launches.
Foreign clients often think in US dollars, euros or Australian dollars, while your price list is in pesos. You decide how the AI quotes. Many resorts and dental clinics list peso prices with a rough dollar figure for foreign clients, and add a note that the final amount is charged in pesos. Add both to your services and the AI uses the one that fits the client, along with any conditions you set, such as rates that change in peak season or prices that depend on an in-person exam. Keeping these rules written down means every client hears the same answer, whether it is 3pm or 3am.
Clients ask how to pay a deposit or a reservation fee. Local clients mention GCash and Maya; overseas clients ask about bank transfers, cards or remittance. NextReply does not process payments. You list your accepted methods and instructions in the FAQ, the AI shares them, and payment screenshots go to your staff to confirm.

The AI is a business assistant, not a general chatbot. It talks only about your services, prices, schedules and policies. It hands the chat to your team when a client asks for a person, sends a complaint, needs a custom quote or asks something clinical, legal or financial. That keeps you within Meta's 2026 WhatsApp terms, which bar general-purpose AI chatbots but allow business assistants with human handoff. Every handoff arrives with a short summary, so your staff do not need to scroll.
The Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act 10173), enforced by the National Privacy Commission, covers the personal data your business collects through chats. Health information counts as sensitive personal information, so clinics need extra care. Good practice for WhatsApp booking:
All plans include the AI receptionist replying 24/7 on WhatsApp, voice-note and photo understanding, multilingual replies, Google Calendar booking, chat handoff and a bookings dashboard with calendar view. Pro adds full conversation history and editable services, hours and FAQs. Business adds unlimited bookings and CRM webhooks with Zapier, Make, HubSpot and Google Sheets. Details are on the features page.
Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. After that, Starter is $29, Pro is $59 and Business is $99 a month. Prices are in US dollars. At checkout, your card or bank may show an estimate in pesos.
